On Saturday 30th April, we’ll be taking the ‘One Million Climate Jobs’ message (and banner!) to Leeds Trades Union Council May Day Rally and Demonstration.
The One Million Climate Jobs report is supported nationally by eight trade unions.
This long-standing, traditional Leeds event – celebrating May Day and unionised labour – is a valuable opportunity to raise awareness among local trade unionists of how the government can solve the environmental and economic crises by creating one million climate jobs.
Assembly for the demonstration is in Victoria Gardens on Headrow (LS1 5RL). More event information on Leeds Trades Union Council event poster.
We will distribute flyers (produced by the PCS trade union) and sell copies of the ‘One Million Climate Jobs’ report. We are also planning to help distribute flyers of the ‘Forwards not Backwards on Climate’ Leeds Demonstration on the following Saturday (7th May). Read more about this event.
If you’d like to join us fliering and selling copies of the report, please email us your mobile phone number (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Thursday 28th April.
