October 19th is the ‘Global Frackdown’ day http://www.globalfrackdown.org/ To connect with this, and to support “Reclaim Power” Month, we’ll be doing a dual-focus stall somewhere near HSBC in Huddersfield.

We’ll be supporting a petition on fracking and will be supporting the World Development Movement’s campaign on HSBC’s funding of coal projects – ‘Bringing Extraction Home to the Banks’. You can read more about this in the ‘Extractives stunt guide’ PDF on http://wdm.org.uk/local-groups-and-activists/think-global-september-2013

HSBC also finances Cuadrilla, the company that has been doing drilling in Lancashire and Balcombe, Sussex.

Please come and join us for these events. If we need to cancel (due to illness, weather etc), we will be informing people by text message. Please email us your mobile phone number by Friday 18th October 12pm if you would like to be contacted in this event and so that we can let you know the exact location of the stall.

For the stunt, we will be wearing all black with high vis jackets on top. It would be great if people would like to dress like this for this stunt. We ask people to bring their own ‘costume’ from home. To create the visual effect we’re looking for we will only include people in this ‘costume’ in the photographs. We hope you appreciate this.
