Energy Bill Revolution stall and stunt 8

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the stall and stunt on Saturday. It was a great success!

There was alot of interest in the Energy Bill Revolution petition for a programme of using carbon taxes to make homes super energy-efficient.

The snow was chilly but also the perfect backdrop for our message about the dangers of cold homes. Thanks to everyone who took part in the piece of street theatre about cold-related illness which was performed around the town.

The Huddersfield Examiner is keen to cover the event – which, as you can see below, was endorsed by Mike Wood MP.

“Energy bills are the source a great deal of financial hardship for people, few if any manage to escape the arbitrary rises that we as consumers are forced to endure numerous times a year.

“Fuel poverty is a scourge on modern life and I fully support the aims of this campaign and will continue to everything I can to press the government to do more to tackle this issue, particularly in respect of improving the quality and energy efficiency of people’s homes.”
Kirklees (Batley and Spen) MP Mike Wood.
