Kirklees Campaign Against Climate Change is organising an Extreme Energy Tour of Huddersfield on Saturday 1st December to mark the Global Day of Action on climate change.
10am-12pm – Stall in Market Place, Huddersfield
Collecting postcards calling for a moratorium on fracking and supporting Friends of the Earth’s ‘Clean British Energy’ campaign.
12pm -1.15pm – Guided walk of ‘Extreme Energy Huddersfield’
Visiting sites that are linked to products whose companies invest in fracking or Tar Sands. Come and join us as we deliver letters of complaint to places like HSBC and Barclays banks, Superdrug and ending at the BP petrol station in Lockwood. We’re going to try to create the look of a conventional tourist walking tour, so please come with camera, sunglasses and guidebooks!
